Economic Development is a set of programs and policies that aid in the creation, retention and expansion of jobs; the development of a stable tax base; and the enhancement of wealth.

As one of its duties as a federally-recognized economic development district, BRAG produces a regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. Every five years, this document is rewritten to stay current to economic trends and refocus the region's tactics towards promoting economic vibrancy. The process builds leadership, enhances cooperation, and fosters public ownership and enthusiasm. The 2018 CEDS brought together over 100 stakeholders, public and private to identify the keys to economic success in Northern Utah.
