Senior Companion Program

The Senior Companion Program pairs healthy older adults with frail senior citizens and adults with disabilities to decrease isolation and loneliness with a weekly visit from a caring volunteer. A Senior Companion volunteer provides support through assistance with grocery shopping, errands, doctor appointments, respite care and companionship necessary to maintain independence.

Senior Companion Volunteers:

  • Are 55 years of age or older

  • Meet income guidelines

  • Work 15-40 hours a week

  • Have a love of serving others

A Senior Companion Volunteer receives:

  • Nontaxable hourly stipend

  • Travel Reimbursement

  • A free yearly physical exam

  • Monthly meetings that are free and educational

If you are interested in being a volunteer or a client who needs a volunteer, please contact the Senior Companion Office at (435) 713-1467 or toll free at 1-877-772-7242 ext. 467.

“Being lonely is a terrible thing, a visit from a single person can brighten one’s day enough to allow them to face the next. You can make the difference!”
