CROWN Homes enables qualified people to lease a home at a very affordable rent while earning financial credit towards the possible purchase of that same home.  The CROWN name is derived from the phrase “CRedits to OWN”.  CROWN Homes is a cooperative effort that relies on the resident to act in a spirit of homeownership while they are leasing the home and to prepare for possible future home ownership.  The CROWN participant agrees to act in this spirit and to take care of the home in much the way a homeowner would.  CROWN provides assistance as well as incentives for the participant to develop their homeowner skills and perform their obligations.  CROWN was developed to help people improve their living situation by providing long-term housing at affordable rents, along with the opportunity of home ownership.
